Student visa for Germany

Do you need a student visa in order to study in Germany depends on the country of passport.. Students coming from European Union, European Economic Area and Switzerland do not need student visa in order to study in Germany. Students coming from third countries and wish to enroll in a course which lasts more than 3 months must have appropriate visa and upon arrival to Germany they must apply for residence permit which will give them legal stay in this country.
